"New Year Chorale for Six Grouches" is an annual New Year's Eve tradition in Oscar the Grouch's family, as seen in the 1993 Sesame Street special, Sesame Street Stays Up Late.
Throughout the special, Oscar tries to connect with relatives via Ernestine the Telephone Operator: including his mother, Uncle Hank, and cousins Ethyl and Fred. When all six Grouches are on the line, they sing a short song consisting of "nyeh-nyehs" and a punctuated "phooey" before hanging up.
