Grover NYCFC

The New York City Football Club is a soccer team operating out of New York City, competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the highest professional soccer league operating in the United States, and play their home games in Yankee Stadium. The team is the first in New York City, but the second in the New York area behind the New York Red Bulls, who are based in New Jersey.

On March 9, for the team's 24-hour game, a match which takes place before the team's home opener where members of the public can play against notable New York City personalities, walkaround versions of Elmo and Cookie Monster.[1] showed up to play.

The following day for the Club's home opener, Grover appeared and was given a special jersey to commemorate Sesame Street's 50th anniversary. Following the match he interviewed players Brad Stuver and Sebastian Ibeasha about subjects such as their favorite snacks to eat during games.[2]
