In 2019, the New Zealand Mint released a series of silver coins featuring The Muppets. The coins are legal tender with a face value of $2 NZ. 10,000 of each were issued made of 999 Fine Silver with a diameter of 40mm, weighing 1 Troy oz. One side featured a Muppet character, with the other side pressed with the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The coins came packaged inside an acrylic block for collectible display.
