The Nobel Prize is one of several awards given in the fields of Peace, Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Economics. It is named for Alfred Nobel who dictated in his will that the honor should be bestowed upon "those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to Mankind."
