"O mio babbino caro" ("Oh my dear papa") is an aria for soprano from the 1918 Puccini opera Gianni Schicchi.
Placido Flamingo performed a rendition of the song in A Grand Night: The Performing Arts Salute Public Television. This version replaced the Italian with English lyrics about a baby flamingo.
Placido would also perform the song in Episode 2456 for Big Bird and the Birdketeers, but the tune results in putting himself to sleep.
