A cowboy (Jim Henson) who needs a dentist comes to see Adam T. Glaser. Because their town is so small, he holds several jobs, including dentist. He ducks behind a changing screen to properly get ready, and instead emerges with a white hat, apron, and some dough he tries to shove into the patient's mouth. The cowboy protests - he's dressed as a baker, not a dentist. Adam admits that because of his many jobs, he gets confused about which one does what.
He goes back to the screen to change, returning with a fireman's helmet and ready to put out a fire. The patient points out he's got the wrong job again. Adam lists some ideas of what he thinks dentists do, but is told those are the roles of a mailman and zookeeper. The patient finally demonstrates the dentist's job by giving Adam a dental check up of his own.
