Oliver Grimm in 2000

Oliver Grimm (1948-2017) was a German actor who voiced Philo on Die Fraggles, the German co-production of Fraggle Rock.

Grimm started out at age four as a child actor in films in the 1950s and 1960s. He played a blind boy in the 1962 Disney bio of Beethoven, The Magnificent Rebel, and that same year, played one of the two child leads in the English-language film Reach for Glory (with Richard Vernon). Grimm later transitioned to theater and voice-over work, where he most prominently took on the title role of Kimba the White Lion. He also dubbed Steve Buscemi in Miller's Crossing, Jack Gilpin in Something Wild, and Twiki the robot on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
