"One and One Make Two" is a Sesame Street song about how much nicer it is when two people get together, because it's no fun being alone.
Johnny Cash first performed the song on the show in Episode 0558, and later covered it on 1975's The Johnny Cash Children's Album. The album also featured another Moss composition from Sesame Street, "Nasty Dan."
The song was then performed by Ernie and Bert on the 1977 album Numbers!. It was later reworked by Jeff Moss into "Adding, Adding, Adding" in Season 30.
Big Bird and Elmo later sang this song (with an altered melody) in Episode 4149. A portion of the song was also used as part of a "Number Medley" performed by Pentatonix in Season 44.
