Piggy opening ceremony

Miss Piggy in Opening Ceremony for InStyle.

Opening Ceremony is a multifaceted environment comprised of retail spaces, showroom, and gallery. They feature both established designers and emerging fashion designers. They host a new country in their space each year, and have locations in New York City, Tokyo and Los Angeles.

Fashion's Night Out event

For Fashion's Night Out in 2011, part of New York Fashion Week, Opening Ceremony featured Miss Piggy as the headliner of their event, there to promote the upcoming film The Muppets and the new line of SpiritHoods.

The theme of the evening was based on Argentina, that year's new country to the Opening Ceremony complex. Carnival games were set up for the event, with Muppet plush as game prizes.

Exclusive high-end merchandise was created for Opening Ceremony in celebration of the event. It included women's dress blouses, T-shirts, sweaters and hoodies, all featuring the Muppets in their designs.
