Oscar's Pop is the father of Oscar the Grouch. He has been identified only as "Pop" in a placard on his picture in How to Be a Grouch.
He has been seen in a photograph during "My Grouch Family," a song that explains that he once told his son that if he was messy, fussy, and loved trash, he'd grow up to be just like him. His picture on the family tree features Oscar's paternal figure with a brown mustache, wearing a bowler hat with a black-and-white striped tie.
According to a talk show appearance on Canadian radio, Oscar's father is from St. David's Ridge, New Brunswick and his mother grew up in Nova Scotia (in reference to Caroll Spinney's parents).
