Oscar the Grouch walk-arounds

Oscar the Grouch as he appears in stage shows and theme parks including Sesame Street Live and Sesame Place. There are two variations of the character: the puppet/costume hybrid and the full-bodied walk-around. The former is operated from inside a large trash can that serves as his body (when entering and leaving the scene, Oscar walks while inside the can, his legs worn by the puppeteer). This puppet, bigger than the actual Oscar, is intended to not look small compared to the other Sesame Street walk-around characters, but very often this is the case. The full-bodied walk-around debuted in 2012. In stage shows, Oscar is performed to a vocal track by Caroll Spinney (or in the case of international appearances, the person who dubs Oscar's voice in that country).

Like all the other Sesame Street walk-around characters, Oscar was originally designed and fabricated by the Muppet Workshop, who eventually handed these duties over to VEE Corporation.

	2000	Let's Be Friends	Oscar as he appears in Sesame Street Live.
	2004	Sesame Place	At Sesame Place, Oscar's trash can is perched on top of building blocks.
	2007	Sesame Place	Appears in the show Abby Cadabby's Treasure Hunt. This Oscar puppet is much smaller, and is operated by a stick mechanism inside the puppet.

File:Oscar.jpg	2012	Universal Studios Singapore	A full-bodied walk-around of Oscar made his debut at Sesame Place in 2012. Like in his many illustrated appearances, Oscar wears the lid on his head (but at other times is seen without it). This Oscar also appears at Universal Studios Singapore, Beaches Resorts, SeaWorld San Diego and San Antonio, and Busch Gardens Africa.
	2017	Let's Party!	Oscar makes his debut as a walk-around character in Sesame Street Live in 2017.
