Ostrich Lady appears in several episodes of Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures, often hiring Ernie and Bert to do various jobs for her.
Bert and Ernie are movers who are asked to move a grand piano up the stairs of her mansion in the "Piano Movers" episode. The duo is hired to take care of her sad dog in "Dogsitters" and serve as her automotive mechanics in "Car Mechanics."
The Ostrich Lady fills the role of the typical "grande dame" figures in the comedy films of The Marx Brothers (invariably played by Margaret Dumont), Laurel and Hardy or The Three Stooges, who hire or become embroiled with the comedians to slapstick effect.
