The Palace Guard operates the gate of King Goshposh's castle in the 1962 television pilot Tales of the Tinkerdee. Taminella Grinderfall, the witchiest witch of them all, charms her way past the Guard by disguising herself as Santa Claus.
The Guard puppet is a version of the Sam and Friends character Yorick dressed in a suit of armor. His helmet, built by Bob Payne, later became Super Grover's.[1]
