Pamela Brandt (1947-2015) was a musician and songwriter and a member of the band The Deadly Nightshade. She appeared with the group on Sesame Street in multiple segments, playing bass. She also co-wrote several Sesame songs with former bandmate Helen Hooke, including "Wheels on My Feet."
After Deadly Nightshade disbanded, Brandt was a member of Michael Callen's band Lowlife, on bass and vocals, in the 1980s. She shifted to writing, including food reviews and travel pieces, and co-wrote The Girls Next Door: Into the Heart of Lesbian America. She also formed a new all-woman rock band, Cactus Rose, which performed in Miami.
