Patti LuPone (b. 1949) is an actor and singer, known best for her work on stage. Her accolades include multiple Tony and Grammy Awards.
In 2020, LuPone participated in a sing-along of "Rainbow Connection" with Kermit the Frog for the YouTube special Soundtrack of Our Lives.
LuPone found stardom playing Eva Perón in the Broadway musical Evita, and she originated Fantine in Les Misérables. Her other stage credits include productions of Oliver!, Anything Goes, Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd, and Gypsy. On screen, she's appeared in the films 1941 (directed by Steven Spielberg), Witness (with Harrison Ford), and Driving Miss Daisy, as well as the TV series Frasier, Law & Order, Touched by an Angel, Will & Grace, Ugly Betty, 30 Rock, Glee, American Horror Story, The Simpsons, and Agatha All Along.
