Pedro D'Aguillón (1947-2022), also known as Pedro D'Aguillón Jr., was a Mexican voice actor who dubbed the beefeater vicar in Muppets 2: Los más buscados (Muppets Most Wanted) and Carl and Howard Tubman on Los Muppets (2015's The Muppets). He dubbed Elder Cadia in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Brian Froud in El origen de El cristal encantado: la era de la resistencia (The Crystal Calls: Making the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance), and Grandpa Doozer on Doozers.
His father, the senior Pedro D'Aguillón (sometimes credited De Aguillón), was a character actor in Mexican cinema and one of the earliest dubbing actors in the country, beginning in the forties (dubbing Walter Pidgeon and Friar Tuck in Disney's Robin Hood among others). The younger D'Aguillón entered the field in the 1970s, dubbing male interest Jeff Hunt on the animated series Spider-Woman.
He became the primary Spanish voice of Dan Aykroyd and Stanley Tucci and dubbed Robert Englund in the first three A Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Chevy Chase in Caddyshack and others, Billy Crystal in City Slickers and its sequel, Charles Grodin in Clifford, and Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinny. For TV, he dubbed Max Wright on ALF, Ed O'Neill on Modern Family and the 2003 Dragnet, Martin Sheen on The West Wing, and Paul Reiser on Mad About You. Cartoon roles include the title character in The Fantastic Mr. Fox, the Beyonder and Stan Lee on the 90s Spider-Man, Colonel K on the 2016 Danger Mouse, Bob on Bob and Margaret, and Flash Gordon on Defenders of the Earth.
