Peer Augustinski with Feli Felu in promotion for the 2000th episode

Peer Augustinski (1940-2014) was a German comedian and voice actor who guest starred on the 2000th episode of Sesamstrasse, playing fashion designer Pull von Westen who puts on a show in the neighborhood. He dubbed Rodney the guinea pig in the Creature Shop-effects film Dr. Dolittle.

Augustinski began as a stage actor and initially appeared on TV in dramatic roles, before being cast on the comedy series Klimbim in 1977 (as a sketch regular) followed by the sitcoms Zwei himmlische Töchter (1978) and Susi (1981), all with Ingrid Steeger. Film comedies included a cameo in Is' was, Kanzler (1984, with Tommi Piper). He took more dramatic roles on crime shows, recurring on the customs inspection series Achtung Zoll! and the mystery Matt in 13 Zügen and playing guest roles on Kommissariat X (with Edgar Ott), Der Alte, and Tatort.

Augustinski was the standard German dubbing voice of Robin Williams, with few exceptions, from 1986 until 2004, including Dead Poets Society, The Fabulous Adventures of Baron Munchausen, and Old Dogs as well as the voice of Genie in Aladdin and its spinoffs. Although a 2005 stroke slowed down and eventually ended his voice career, he dubbed Williams two more times, in August Rush and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

Apart from Williams, he dubbed Dudley Moore in Santa Claus, Jerry Lewis in The King of Comedy, Joe Pesci in Moonwalker, Gene Wilder in Another You, and Barry Humphries in Nicholas Nickleby. He voiced Schnatterschnute on the German puppet series Blaubär + Blöd, while animation roles beyond Aladdin include Woody in the first two Toy Story movies and Bartok in Anastasia.
