Peligro is a Grouch dog who appeared on Sesame Street in a pair of episodes in season 13. He resides in a miniature trash can with a sign displaying his name, which translates to "danger" in Spanish.
Peligro first appeared in Episode 1590, shown to be in the care of Oscar the Grouch; he shows Maria and the kids how Peligro is able to ignore commands in both English and Spanish. When Peligro made an appearance later that season in Episode 1682, it was established that he actually belongs to Oscar's friend from Puerto Rico, Osvaldo, el Gruñón, who has sent him to Oscar for some proper disobedience training.
The puppet would later make background appearances in Follow That Bird and The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years, and was used as a Grouchketeer's pet named Junkyard in the View-Master Interactive Vision video Let's Play School. Eventually, the puppet would be used as Oscar's own Grouch dog Preposterous, before becoming a utility puppet once again.
