Penguin Mason is a penguin who appears in The Furchester Hotel episode "Mystery Weekend."
A famous detective, the avian sleuth and his colleague Miss Marbles check into the Furchester for the titular mystery weekend. Penguin Mason prizes his shiny magnifying glass and uses it to spy potential mysteries or clues (and finds himself hindered without it).
The character is a parody of Perry Mason, who was a lawyer rather than a flightless aquatic bird, but in both books and on television, he did spend as much time functioning as an unofficial detective as in the courtroom.
