"Perfect Tree" is a song heard throughout the Christmas special, Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.
Mr. Willowby sings the song at the special's beginning, explaining his reasons for needing the perfect tree. The mouse family within his walls also sings, explaining their traditions as the father and children head out to find their own perfect tree.
Father Mouse sings a portion of the song during his many attempts to cut down the tree, before he is cut off (literally). Miss Adelede also sings a version of the song when presented with the tree. The tune also serves as the "Honey Pot Waltz" for a family of bears.
Mr. Willowby leads a reprise of the song at the end, joined by a chorus of friends.
The song was nominated for "Outstanding Music and Lyrics" in the 1996 Emmy Awards.[1]
