Pete Coogan, also credited as Peter Coogan, joined the Jim Henson Company (then still Henson Associates) in 1983. He usually worked in a supervisory role on the production end, often production manager on various Muppet projects. By 1994, he was occasionally serving as a producer on shows such as The Secret Life of Toys and The Animal Show. He soon shifted over to the Creature Shop, variously acting as producer, production supervisor, and finally becoming managing director in 2003.
Coogan left Henson in 2005 and would go on to form his own production company, Baker Coogan Productions, with fellow Henson alumnus Martin Baker. In that capacity, he has occasionally worked with Henson again, on series like Me and My Monsters.
