Peter Baird (c. 1952–2004) was the son of the legendary puppeteer Bil Baird.
Baird served as a background puppeteer on The Muppets Take Manhattan. He later served as one of the performers for Mount Rushmore in some short sketches recorded for 60 Minutes, which were ultimately unaired.[1]
Baird worked extensively in his father's stage puppet productions as early as 1970, including playing Roo in Winnie the Pooh, and was puppet master for the 1981 Broadway play Frankenstein (with Bil Baird designing the puppets). He was one of the puppeteers for the title character in Howard the Duck and a regular marionette puppeteer for the jukebox band scenes on Shining Time Station.
