Peter Lurye is a composer and lyricist who worked on the soundtrack for Bear in the Big Blue House, and also wrote many songs for the show. He also wrote the theme song for Animal Jam and in addition wrote the theme song for another Playhouse Disney series, Stanley. Peter Lurye also wrote songs for Winnie the Pooh, which had numerous other Muppet crew connections. Recently, Lurye was called to write a Christmas-themed version of the theme song for the popular Nickelodeon series Dora the Explorer, which was featured in the special Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure.
