- Rousseau's Still Life with Ham appeared in the Sesame Street special, Don't Eat the Pictures, set at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Cookie Monster and Bob find the painting using Cookie's "Food Art" guide. Cookie muses about making a ham sandwich of it using two other paintings and attempts to eat it. Bob stops him and exclaims, "You promised you wouldn't eat the Rousseau!"
