Phips Terlington is a new student at Coldrain Middle School. He appears in the 2012 book Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet: Clash of the Class Clowns as one of the titular class clowns.
In addition to general tomfoolery, he makes Danvers, Kip (of Mon Swoon), and Pasquale the butt of his jokes, much to the amusement of his fellow classmates. He enjoys wordplay with the prefixes "-ibles," "-ables," and "-icals."
Hailing from Iowa, Phips attended three schools in one year prior to Coldrain. Danvers attempts to use this information as ammunition, but it backfires when Phips reveals his father is in the army. In response, Danvers challenges Phips to a comedy showdown.
At the end of the book, Phips decides to enroll in Eagle Talon Academy to properly develop his creative talents. Phips subsequently makes cameo appearances in The Good, the Bad, and the Fuzzy and When Pigs Fly.
