Pierce the Porcupine is a porcupine who appears in the Furchester Hotel episode, "Very Important Porcupine." All the guests are scared of him, but he doesn't mind.
Elmo and Phoebe decide to be his friends and play games with him. Elmo tries a game of catch with a beachball, which pops when thrown at Pierce. Then they pogostick together, which works until he winds up stuck to the ceiling. Phoebe realizes that they need to find something that'll get them closer to him. The whole Furchester family dons various odds and ends to keep them protected from his quills.
