A Pirate Teddy Bear is found by Big Bird and Mr. Snuffleupagus in Sesame Street Episode 1585. The pair are initially dismayed to have found a lost treasure which consists only of jewelry and gold coins. The presence of the piratical plush, presumably left to guard the booty, instantly raises their morale.
Big Bird takes the buccaneering bruin back with him to Sesame Street, as proof of his adventure to show Gordon and Susan. They still disbelieve him, even when he points out that it's not just a teddy bear but a *pirate* teddy bear (complete with bandanna and eyepatch). Still, Big Bird takes comfort in the find and tosses aside the last remaining piece of filthy lucre clinging to his fur. He looks forward to having his nautical bear buddy meet Radar.
