Pizza mit Biss (Pizza with a Bite) is a Sesamstrasse and Eine Möhre für Zwei spin-off starring the comedy duo Wolle and Pferd, that debuted in 2017.
The 12-minute mini-series features the two characters working at a restaurant in Hamburg, delivering pizzas baked by restaurant chef Cookie Monster, with waiter Grover serving in-house. Recurring characters include Mr. Johnson, Elmo (running his own hair salon), chickens, a penguin, as well as appearances by a little Anything Muppet girl and cameos by Finchen and the green wolf. Three pilot episodes were produced in 2017, and debuted November 16, 17 and 18, 2017, on children's TV network KIKA.
The title Pizza with a Bite is a play on words in German, meaning both that the titular pizza is extra delicious, and missing a bite due to the fact that chef Cookie Monster is also the restaurant's taster who doesn't let a pizza leave his kitchen without having taken a bite out of it for approval first.
The show's theme song is sung by the cast. The episodes were directed by regular Sesamstrasse director Jojo Wolff, and were written by Thomas Möller.
