The Portland Symphony Orchestra was established in 1923 in Portland, Maine.
Big Bird made an appearance at a Portland Symphony Orchestra concert at the Cumberland County Civic Center on May 3, 1980. Oscar the Grouch, as chauffeured by Bruno the Trashman, also appeared to sing "I Love Trash."[1]
