The purple birds used during season 1 were refurbished from background cave creatures on Fraggle Rock before becoming the Bubble Bubbies on Back to the Rock.
The pleasing weasel in "The Gink" was repurposed from Nigel in Muppets Tonight.
The birds that sing backup for "Ruler of the World" in "The King's Beard" originally appeared on The Muppet Show.
The Lanford puppet appears as a carnivorous plant at the base of Mount Crumpit in "The Song of the Zubble-Wump."
The snake in "Norval the Great" and the Spring-a-Ling Snake in season 2 were recycled from Nick in The Song of the Cloud Forest.
The puppets used for Alphonso D'Abruzzo and Stevenson the Parrot appear during "It's a Jungle Out There" in "Norval the Great".
The Angry Sandwich puppet from the "Wasp & Blue-Footed Booby" episode of The Animal Show appears in a fantasy sequence in episode 202.
The Web-Footed Batula originally appeared as the Brown Bat on The Muppet Show.
The Picnic Bug was originally used in The Song of the Cloud Forest during "Munching Forest".
A fish appearing in "The Cat in the Hat's Indoor Picnic" was originally built as Mingo for the unproduced series W.I.L.D.
The puppet originally used for Shirley appears as a Snark in "The Cat in the Hat's Indoor Picnic".
The Fierce Flaggerdragon in "A Bird's Guide to Health" and Chauncey in "The Cat in the Hat Helps a Friend" were recycled from Earl in Puppetman.
The puppet used for Earl was originally built as Mrs. Mink for Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas and also used as Eugene.
The Fiff-a-ma-toze puppet was originally used in The Muppet Christmas Carol before becoming Mr. Curly Twirly on Mopatop's Shop.
The Grox was repurposed from the puppet used for Big Mean Carl.
Wubbulous puppets reused elsewhere[]
Puppets originally built for The Wubbulous World that would be reused in subsequent Muppet/Henson productions.
- Two green skinned Whozits were recycled in the Telling Stories with Tomie dePaola episode "What's a Story?" as feather-capped villagers who pass by Big Anthony.
- The pink furry Whozit used for Sadie and Puffy was recycled on Sesame Street as a baby monster in "The Tortellini Song".
- The cheese seen in "Almost There" was recycled on Sesame Street beginning in Season 36, while the clam was recycled in a Super Grover 2.0 sketch.
- One of the Wickersham puppets appears in the Sesame Street home video Happy Healthy Monsters (performed by David Rudman) and in Season 38's NasCount sketch.
- Several of the humanoid Whozit puppets (including those used for Dad Tidbiddle, Annie DeLoo, Sue Snue, among others), as well as Flitzpizzle, would be reused by the Jim Henson Company for Puppet Up! and subsequent Henson Alternative productions. Flitzpizzle was also reused in Mindfulness with Mokey.
