PERFORMER | Heather Henson |
DEBUT | 1971 |
Prince Kermit is the newborn child of Sir Robin the Brave and Princess Melora in the 1971 special The Frog Prince. The young prince is named after Kermit the Frog, who bravely assisted Sir Robin in his fight against the witch Taminella.
At the end of the special, Kermit is wrapping up his narration of the story, when he's interrupted by Robin and Melora passing by, with the baby prince in Melora's arms. Kermit notes, "Now, that's what I call a happy ending. After all, it's not every frog that has a prince named after him."
The baby is performed by Jim Henson's daughter, Heather.[1]
