Supergrass - Pumping On Your Stereo (Official HD Video)
"Pumping on Your Stereo" is a song by British rock band Supergrass, released as the first single from their 1999 self-titled album.
For the song's music video, directed by the team of Hammer & Tongs (director Garth Jennings and producer Nick Goldsmith), Jim Henson's Creature Shop was commissioned to create large puppet bodies which the band members' heads would be positioned onto (and removed from), as well as other puppet figures such as instruments, pink feather boas, and Moai heads. The video was filmed against a black background, with the band members (minus their heads) and puppeteers dressed in black.
A total of twelve puppeteers worked on the video, including Kay Bradshaw, Simon Buckley,[1] and Richard Coombs.[2] Pat Garrett served as choreographer.[2]
Jennings and Goldsmith would work with the Creature Shop again in 1999 on the music video for Blur's "Coffee & TV," and later on the movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
