The Q Awards was a popular British music awards ceremony presented by the music magazine Q. The awards were given annually from 1990 until 2019; the magazine ceased operations the following year.
During the 2001 ceremony, Animal (performed here by John Kennedy) appeared in a video message congratulating Gorillaz, following the group's acceptance speech for their win in the "Best Video" category. Animal sings the first few bars of "Clint Eastwood" before shouting "Damon!", referencing frontman Damon Albarn, and in the same cadence as his cry for "Woman!" He then gets distracted by a woman offscreen and chases after her.
