The Randy Stevenot No. 3. is an old circus train used by the Muppets for their world tour in Muppets Most Wanted. Beauregard serves as engineer for the group's trip across Europe.
Behind The Scenes[]
The train used is the Bluebell Railway's No. 3, Fletcher Jennings Class B Captain Baxter, refitted with some American components (the funnel chimney, cowcatcher, lamp, whistle, and the American flags). She is seen hauling a British Railways Standard Brake Van, and a BR MK1 coach. Captain Baxter was originally built in 1877 for the Dorking Greystone Lime Works at Betchworth Station in Surrey, England. She arrived on the Bluebell Railway in 1960, and returned to service after a comprehensive overhaul in 1982. She later received a further overhaul in 1990, and returned to service in 2010. When her boiler ticket expired in 2018, while on loan to the Didcot Railway Centre, Captain Baxter was moved to the Bluebell Railway's engine shed, where she remains on display.
In stark contrast to her role as Randy Stevenot No. 3, Captain Baxter is physically incapable of travelling long distances - she is only designed for shunting and light freight work, so to undergo such a long journey without an extensive amount of maintenance en-route is impossible for her.
