A list of recurring female characters within The Muppets franchise. This list includes female Muppet characters that have appeared in a speaking role in multiple Muppet productions (i.e. multiple episodes, films, specials, etc.) with a consistent name and personality (this does not account for unnamed extras, recycled puppets, or puppets that resurface in crowd scenes or as silent background extras).
Other female Muppets[]
Below is a partial listing of the non-recurring or unnamed female Muppets within the Muppets' productions. These characters either appeared in only one production, or the puppet appeared without any consistent persona, personality, performer or name.
Notes[]
- During the Q&A at San Diego Comic-Con in 2015, an audience member commented, "I'm thrilled to see that Miss Piggy is the first female host of a late night talk show, [applause], and I was just wondering, are we going to get more women in The Muppets? [oohs from the audience]". Bill Prady began to answer, but was interrupted by Kermit, Gonzo, and Pepe for the sake of a few jokes. Miss Piggy then asked "aren't I enough for you?"[1]
