Remington Steele (1982-1987) is a detective TV show, focusing on a female investigator who invents a male name on the door to overcome sexism, only for a suave impostor to show up to claim the role. Pierce Brosnan played "Remington Steele" and the series blended comedy with romantic conflict (with one of the writers going on to create Moonlighting, with a similar dynamic).

- The comic story "Citizen Robbie" in Dinosaurs #1 has Charlene Sinclair negatively comparing Robbie to rival candidate J. Rassik Quill, who she says looks like Fierce Bronton on Reptilian Steele (referencing Pierce Brosnan and the show).
