Renée Menschaar is a puppeteer on Sesamstraat, the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street.
Renée plays Pino. She has been performing him since 1990, which is the longest anybody has played the bird. Renée is also the first woman in a row of male Pino performers. She invented Pino's signature laugh and catchphrases, and turned the character a bit younger.
She started out as Tommie's right hand.
When she's not performing Pino, Renée works as a puppeteer for other Dutch educational TV shows.
