Renata Scotty is a canine opera singer who is featured in Sesame Street Episode 3518. The singing Scottish terrier seeks an accompanist for her touring concerts and auditions Bob. Renata is impressed by his musical skills, as well as his ability to scratch and throw sticks. However, Bob ultimately decides to stay on Sesame Street, but not before recommending Rowlf as a replacement.
The character's name and occupation are a reference to the noted opera soprano Renata Scotto.
Among Renata's repertoire are selections from The Barker of Seville, Madame Butter-flea, and works by canine greats such as Poochini, Waggner, and Johanne Sebastian Bark.
