Rex (named in the script as well as the character design[1]) is a humanoid astronaut who is trapped by a bunch of alien pigs in the "Return to Beneath the Planet of the Pigs" sketch on The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence.
In dialogue, when Rex impersonates a pig butler, the pigs call him "Hudson," in reference to Upstairs, Downstairs.
