"Rhapsody in Blue" is a musical composition by George Gershwin originally written for solo piano and jazz band, and later orchestrated by Ferde Grofé for piano and symphony orchestra. It is one of the most popular American concert works and is otherwise known for its use in commercials for United Airlines, and animated for Fantasia 2000 as arranged by Bruce Broughton.

- Bob is playing the piece on piano in Sesame Street Episode 2153 when Snuffy comes to visit with Mr. Anteloper.
- Richard Stoltzman played the opening for Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street in Episode 2633 as an example of what the clarinet can do as an instrument.
- The piece was quoted in the music button for a scene in Sesame Street Episode 2926.
- A section of the piece was used in Sesame Street Episode 3851 for a fantasy sequence with ballet dancers inspired by Miles' basketball skills.
