Rhymin' Lyman appears in Sesame Street Episode 0716, and is one in a long line of the show's rhyming Anything Muppet hipsters.
Lyman interrupts Oscar while he looks over his trash collection. He raps and snaps his fingers to a jazzy snare beat as he arranges items that rhyme into a cluttered pile. Oscar is appalled until he realizes the beautiful mess Lyman made. Oscar tries to persuade Lyman with more trash as he jives off.
Although Rhymin' Lyman is portrayed as male in the aired episode, the original script intended the character to be female.[1] Lyman wears the same striped sweater worn by Marty.
