Rob Jost is a bass player who performs as part of Joe Fiedler's Sesame Street house band. He has received screen credit since season 43 in 2012, and the specials Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas, The Magical Wand Chase and When You Wish Upon a Pickle.
Jost also played bass on camera for the Sesame Street Muppets' appearance on NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concerts in 2019. He served as an example of a musician during the performance of "The People in Your Neighborhood," for which he and his fellow house band musicians provided additional vocals.
Jost also plays the French horn. He has performed on film scores, usually documentaries, in the pit orchestras of Broadway musicals, and for Saturday Night Live.
