Robert "Bob" Iger (b. 1951) is the president and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. He was named president of the company in 2000, and later succeeded Michael Eisner as chief executive in 2005. Iger oversaw The Walt Disney Company's acquisitions of Pixar in 2006 and Marvel in 2009.
On September 29, 2009, he announced the Give a Day. Get a Disney Day. campaign with help from Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, Amy Smith from the volunteer network HandsOn, actors Teri Hatcher and James Denton, as well as dozens of Disney "voluntEARS" in Los Angeles.
