Rock Hudson (1925-1985) was a movie star who gained attention as a romantic leading man and heartthrob in the fifties and sixties, from dramatic turns in Magnificent Obsession and Giant to a string of romantic comedies opposite Doris Day. He later shifted to TV, starring on McMillan & Wife.
