Roger Caras (1928-2001) was an American wildlife photographer, writer, wildlife preservationist, and TV personality. He was the host of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show for many years, appearing on shows including 20/20, Nightline, and ABC News Tonight with Peter Jennings, and later becoming the president of the ASPCA.
Caras appeared in Episode 1873 of Sesame Street, introducing Gordon, Big Bird, and the kids to a bloodhound named Jed.
