Gene Siskel, Telly Monster, Oscar the Grouch and Roger Ebert.

Roger Ebert (1942-2013) was a film critic who wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times. He is best known as the co-host of several incarnations of movie review television programs, such as At the Movies.

He appeared on Sesame Street in season 22 with Gene Siskel in a Sneak Peek Previews segment, spoofing their own series. The critics instruct Oscar and Telly on how their thumbs up/thumbs down rating system works. Oscar asks if there could be a thumbs sideways rating, and goads the two men into an argument about whether or not that would be acceptable, as Ebert likes the idea, but Siskel does not. The pair were also seen in the celebrity version of "Monster in the Mirror."

Years later, Ebert made a special appearance in the 2004 home video special A Celebration of Me, Grover, delivering a review of "The King and I."
