- In the premiere issue of Muppet Magazine, a mock cover of Rolling Stone featuring Animal is presented. The magazine says that Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem were slated to appear on the cover, but Animal ran amok at the photo shoot, ruining their chances.
- The magazine was parodied as "Rolling Sesame" with Oscar the Grouch on the cover at a preview performance of Our Favorite Things during a press conference at Universal Studios Singapore. This magazine, along with other faux magazines featuring Sesame Street characters, was seen hanging outside the Union City News Agency building in the New York area where the performance was held.
