
Ronald Binion with Special Ed from Crank Yankers
Ronald Binion is a puppeteer and puppet designer/builder who worked for the Jim Henson Company during the 1990s. During that time, he shared a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for his work on The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss.
Outside of Henson, Binion has worked as a puppeteer and puppet builder for The Book of Pooh (where he performed Eeyore and earned another Emmy nod), Crank Yankers, and LazyTown (puppeteering the character of Pixel). In film, Binion helped build and perform Slimer for the 2016 Ghostbusters film, and puppeteered ghosts and creatures for Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
He was previously a resident puppeteer and head puppet builder of the Center for Puppetry Arts, has trained puppeteers for Kathryn Mullen and Michael K. Frith's No Strings International, and was a puppeteer and builder for a series of Nike commercials starring puppets of Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.
