Rose is Julia's brown shaggy pet dog. She debuted in 2019, in a series of videos featuring the first on-screen appearances of Julia's family. She was absent from the 2018 storybook Family Forever, where Julia's family was introduced.
According to Jeanette Betancourt, Rose is intended to be Julia's companion dog. She stated in one interview "It’s a little easier to acquire a companion dog who again is aware of Julia’s autism but is also part of the family."[1] Additionally, Rose sometimes dons a service dog's vest.
