Rosie's Broadway Extravaganza is an annual benefit held in New York City for Rosie O'Donnell's charity, "Rosie's Broadway Kids." The charity teaches musical theatre to underprivileged children in New York City, improving their lives through the arts.
The shows feature Hollywood and Broadway stars in a Vaudeville-like show, performing for a live audience in a Broadway House.
On November 23, 2009, the squirrels Skippy, Junior, Jiffy, and Nutella from the stage show version of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas appeared onstage with O'Donnell where the quintet performed the number "Trust." Justin Bohon and Kathy Fitzgerald, who play Emmet and Ma in the Goodspeed production, sang another song from the show, "When the River Meets the Sea," as part of the extravaganza finale.
Other performers that night included Queen Latifah, Nikki Blonsky, Gavin Creel, and former American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle.
